The mountain is being vacated by ICE2001, and soon even the research station of the Arctic Institute of North America will no longer have any members of the scientific team. The ICE2001 team, led by Natural Resources Canada, have returned to places in the United States, Japan and Sweden as well as the provinces of Ontario, Alberta and British Columbia.
There is still some work to be done in the Yukon and, of course, much analysis of the snow samples, pollen captured on filters, downloaded weather data from the previous winter and recorded observations by the scientists.
