Ice-Core Expedition 2001
Daily Report - June 7th 2001

Our reporter John Legg has returned to Ottawa, but continues to be in daily contact with David Fisher at Kluane. This past week, bad weather has prevented the helicopter from ferrying the drill equipment from Quintino Sella to Prospector - Russell Col. Today, the weather was so good that they actually had the helicopter in, loaded (at Quintino Sella) and enroute to the high drill camp but moisture-laden air cut off visibility at the last moment. Meanwhile the team members continue with other aspects of the science program such as daily sampling of the surface snow.
