Ice-Core Expedition 2001
Daily Report - May 11th 2001

The last of the ICE2001 team arrived in Kluane from Whitehorse today. They will be flown in to the Quintino Sella Glacier in a day or two. The base camp on the QS Glacier, where the heavy scientific equipment is temporarily stored, is now vacant. All nine of the original base camp occupants, who were shuttling themselves and some gear to higher altitudes, are now in what is known as the trench or at the intermediate scientific site at King Col. The weather has been good since the Twin Otter completed its equipment delivery to QS on Wednesday. The ICE2001 team moves fast when the weather is good. On Logan, fair weather can change quickly.

The team hopes the weather holds.
