This site represents an evolving tectono-metamorphic map of the Canadian Shield with detailed data for Ontario and the Grenville.

The current maps show distribution of metamorphic grade, age, and facies series, along with relative age of syn-post metamorphic intrusives.

The tectono-metamorphic map of the Canadian Shield will be released as a GSC Open File in late 2006 or early 2007.
