King MountainHead up to King Mountain Trail and savour an unobstructed view of the Ottawa River Valley, dazzling sunshine and a warm breeze. You will also discover various types of forest in close succession. The rapid changes in vegetation are attributed to three factors: soil, water and light.

The 2.5-kilometre King Mountain Trail has 10 observation points, and takes about an hour to complete. King Mountain was the first triangulation point in Canada, at an elevation of 344 metres (1,129 feet).

Watch for interpretation panels along the trail — they have been placed there to make your visit interesting and instructive.

*Domestic animals are not permitted on King Mountain Trail.
