Established in 1969, the National Arts Centre (NAC) is Canada's showcase for the performing arts, featuring over 600 performances annually. The NAC is home to the National Arts Centre Orchestra. It is a vital force in cultivating talent in all of the performing arts, from the presentation of emerging young artists to the celebration of established masters.
The NAC offers four superb performance halls — Southam Hall, Theatre, Studio and the fourth Stage — joined by common foyers and surrounded by terraces and walkways. With its magnificent terrace on the bank of the Rideau Canal, the NAC Restaurant, Le Café, offers the finest of Canadian cuisine.
