Emissions Laboratory at CANMET-MMSL |
The Diesel Emissions Laboratory has been conducting applied
research into diesel engine emissions for over 25 years. In addition
to providing government-sponsored research, the laboratory facilities
are used to conduct R&D; for private companies on a contract basis.
Some past and present projects have included:
- Diesel emissions control technology development including: water
scrubbers, exhaust catalysts, diesel particulate filter media
and regeneration strategies.
- Engine emissions performance development including: ECU tuning,
turbocharger matching, sensor development, low oxygen engine operation
studies, fuel additives and add-on device evaluations.
- Emissions control device evaluations through the government-industry
MAPTEST protocol. (MAPTEST
Protocol document - PDF)
