GSDNR Supports "Green" Hydro-electric Power Supply

This information represents activities in the Earth Sciences Sector Programs (2002-2006). Please refer to Priorities for information on current Earth Sciences Sector Programs.

GSDNR will provide digital elevation model data (DEM) to a company in order to evaluate the hydro-electric potential and environmental acceptability of a hydro project. This project will deliver 'Green' energy to support short and long term economic benefits to local Aboriginal and non-Aboriginal communities, as well as various levels of government (First Nation, Territorial and Federal).
