Theme: Infrastructure

This information represents activities in the Earth Sciences Sector Programs (2002-2006). Please refer to Priorities for information on current Earth Sciences Sector Programs.

infrastructure

Most human activities in Canada are influenced by weather. Similarly, the construction, use and maintenance of infrastructure built to support economic, cultural or recreational activities are affected by meteorological and climatic conditions. The changing frequency and intensity of extreme climate events are expected to have the strongest impact on such infrastructure.
