Project: Earth science for national action on climate change
Activity: Surface water availability

This information represents activities in the Earth Sciences Sector Programs (2002-2006). Please refer to Priorities for information on current Earth Sciences Sector Programs.

Climate and climate change have strong effect on the water cycle. Using satellite observations, meteorological data and climate models, the research is focused on quantifying evapotranspiration and snow cover as major components of the water budget, with high spatial and temporal resolutions to obtain results for large as well as small watersheds.
