Project: Earth science for national action on climate change
Activity: Radiation budget and surface albedo

This information represents activities in the Earth Sciences Sector Programs (2002-2006). Please refer to Priorities for information on current Earth Sciences Sector Programs.

Radiation budget and surface albedo are major parameters for characterization of climate change radiative forcing that in turn underlies climate change. Research in this area aims to provide new quantitative information on climatology, historical trends and variability of earth radiation budget and surface albedo over Canada and northern ecosystems.
