Project: Regional climate change impacts: Geoscience information for OGDs Activity: Impact of climate change on regional snow/ice-dependent water supply This information represents activities in the Earth Sciences Sector Programs (2002-2006). Please refer to Priorities for information on current Earth Sciences Sector Programs. This research will quantify past, present and future impacts of climate change on snow and ice-related surface water resources in western Canada, specifically east of the Rockies. It includes determination of annual, decadal and past-century fluctuation of snow and ice regimes in relation to streamflow generation and climate observations, and projections of future water availability under various climate change scenarios.
