Aeronautical Charting Program Memorandum of Understandings
What is an MOU ?
For the purposes of the Earth Sciences Sector (ESS), a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) is an approved written agreement of a non-contractual, non-legally binding nature between two or more parties (also sometimes referred to as "participants") that typically document an intent by all parties to cooperate in a project, program or similar undertaking. MOUs, which are intended to be general in nature, usually benefit all parties involved and often deal with such matters as:
- collaboration on work in specified subject areas
- the exchange/transfer of technology/expertise
- the exchange of information and/or staff
- liaison and coordination with industrial, academic, and other organizations
- organization and support of technical seminars and meetings
- education/training
