NAV CANADA, Transport Canada and the Department of National Defence supply the base data to update the aeronautical product suite.

NAV CANADA is a corporation providing air navigation services in Canadian airspace and Air Traffic Service in international airspace for which Canada has assumed responsibility. Transport Canada is the federal authority responsible for the regulation of civil aviation. The Department of National Defence is the federal authority responsible for military aviation.

The aeronautical products are shared with organizations that have regulatory obligations both in Canada and the United States of America :

• in Canada – Department of National Defence, Environment Canada, Transport Canada, Transportation Safety Board; and
  
  
• in the United States – National Aeronautical Charting Office of the Federal Aviation Administration (civil), National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (military)

Transport Canada, the Department of National Defence, and Natural Resources Canada share an initiative to create and to expand a usable consistent digital transmission system of aeronautical information for government agencies.

Outsourcing is used for printing and packaging products for distribution to NAV CANADA, Transport Canada and the Department of National Defence.
