GSC Pacific (Vancouver) Education & Outreach
The Geological Survey of Canada is committed to increasing
Canadians' awareness of the earth sciences. The Vancouver office
provides a variety of opportunities in the geoscience community through
the summer employment of students to work as field and laboratory
assistants for GSC scientists.
The Bookstore and Library offer a number of educational
resources from Teacher's Kits to free posters and educational materials
for loan or for sale. As well, the office is involved in Geotours, a
tour of the Geological Survey of Canada (Vancouver) facilities and
related field trips for young audiences.
Check out the Geoscape
website for information on important geological issues in Vancouver,
Victoria, Whitehorse and other cities and regions across Canada.
