National Science & Technology Week (NSTW) October 13-22, 2006

NSTW is a week-long celebration of science and technology that affects your everyday life. Come visit a rock doctor, tour an energy-efficient vehicle, observe science demonstrations and join in experiments related to natural resources.

Take part in:

  • Science FunFest - an open house at Natural Resources Canada's (NRCan's) Booth Street Complex in Ottawa for kids and their families where they can listen to presentations and participate in activities that show the fun and importance of science.

  • School Tours - week-long presentations about different areas of science available free of charge to educational groups. Most of the tours will take place at the Booth Street Complex.

  • Across Canada events - Government of Canada science departments from across the country will be organizing activities in schools, museums and science centres focused on exploring different facets of science and technology.

  • Science and Technology Lecture Series at the Canada Science and Technology Museum
