Gatineau
Lost Children Services, as well as first aid services, are provided at Jacques-Cartier Park during park hours by the volunteers of Ambulance Saint-Jean, region 07 (Outaouais).
Lost and Found
Please bring any articles found to an information kiosk. The NCC will turn articles of value over to the police. When information kiosks are closed, to report or claim a lost article, please contact your local police station. Ottawa Police: (613) 236-1222, ext. 5238; Gatineau Police: (819) 595-1122
Special Services
The Rideau Canal Skateway is the most accessible of all Winterlude sites. However, Snowbowl wheelchair access is only via Elgin Street and through the NAC. A limited number of parking spots ($) for disabled people are available:
• at the NAC
• at Dows Lake (at Preston and Prince of Wales)
• at the Bronson Avenue parking lot.
Wheelchair-accessible heated chalets and portable toilets are also available at these locations.
Road Closures
Ottawa
Laurier Avenue West between Nicholas and Elgin streets, as well as the Queen Elizabeth Driveway, will be closed to traffic at the following times:
• Saturday, February 4: 8:00 am to 10:30 pm
• Saturdays, February 11 and 18: 9:30 am to 10:30 pm
• Sundays, February 5, 12 and 19: 9:30 am to 6 pm.
Gatineau
Laurier Street between de Verdun Street and Saint-Laurent Boulevard will be closed to traffic from 9:30 am to 5 pm on February 4, 5, 11, 12, 18 and 19.
Sno-bus
Shuttle-bus service is provided by OC Transpo in Ottawa, and the Société de transport de l’Outaouais (STO) in Gatineau. Shuttle-bus service links Winterlude sites. Stops are sign-posted.
Schedule:
Saturdays, February 4, 11 and 18: 10 am to 10 pm;
Sundays, February 5, 12 and 19: 10 am to 5:30 pm
Fare: $2.50 (good for one day with proof of purchase), children 12 and under free
