Like all members of the public, you have the right to information. The NCC, as a Crown corporation, is subject to the Access to Information Act (ATI) and the Privacy Act.
Access to Information Act
The law gives Canadian citizens, and all people or corporations in Canada, the right to access federal government records that are not personal. A list of recent Access to information requests made to the NCC is available.
How to Make a Request
- Print and fill out the Access to Information Request Form. You may also write a letter containing the following:
- statement that you are making a request under the Access to Information Act
- description (as specific as possible) of the records you want to access
- whether you want photocopies of documents or to see the originals
- your name and address (street name and number, city or town, province or territory and postal code)
- telephone numbers
- signature
- date of request
- Enclose the application fee of $5 (make cheque or money order payable to the National Capital Commission).
