Since it opened in 1961, Leamy Lake Park has become important both for recreation and as a green conservation area that attracts many tourists every year. The Park is situated on one of the region’s most important archaeological sites, where artifacts have been found that are thousands of years old. The Park is also rich in birds, vegetation and animal life.
