A new low-cost technology for mapping the North
holds a lot of potential for resource development and for the future success of the Canadian geomatics industry.
A new interpretation guide of air photography and Landsat-7 imagery is now available on the Web.
Natural geographic features are described according to their detailed characteristics, by optimal identification conditions and
by photo and image examples. An interpretation approach is given which relies on supplemetary information sources and it is
completed by a section on possible confusion examples with other features.
The activities, staff, facilities and services of the Centre for Topographic Information contribute to the priorities of the Earth Sciences Sector.
