HomeThe NCC owns several hundred properties in the Capital region that are available for lease at market rates. Most of our commercial properties, retail space, restaurants and office space are in the ByWard Market area, especially along Sussex Drive, and in the central business district along Sparks Street. Residential units, apartments and single-family dwellings are located in the ByWard Market, Gatineau Park and the Greenbelt. Farm properties are concentrated in the Greenbelt.
In 1996, as part of our Program Review, we privatized our leasing and property-management operations. Minto Properties Ltd. now handles most of our properties.
