A Blueprint for Canada’s Capital in the 21st Century
Capital Agenda 21 is the next step in implementing the Plan for Canada’s Capital. It proposes strategies, projects and actions to transform the Capital vision into reality, and presents specific proposals about the Capital’s future under six main themes:
- Introduction
- Symbolism in the Capital
- The Visitor Experience
- The Capital’s Rivers
- The Capital’s Natural Environment
- Federal Government Office Accommodation
- The Rural Capital
The strategies may involve participation or leadership from any or all of the following:
- The NCC
- Other federal agencies
- City of Ottawa
- City of Gatineau
- Private sector
This approach continues a legacy of cooperation in Capital building in such continuing projects as Confederation Boulevard, the Capital Pathway network and the redevelopment of LeBreton Flats.
