Gatineau Park is a wedge-shaped expanse of high, rocky land that extends south to the heart of Gatineau. The existence of a fragment of the Canadian Shield only minutes from the heart of the Capital’s urban core is a truly extraordinary feature of the Capital region. However, while the Park is close to the centre, today it can only be reached through a maze of regional roads.

We will encourage visitors to travel directly into the Park via a broad, landscaped boulevard (Saint-Laurent Boulevard) that goes straight from Confederation Boulevard in downtown Gatineau to the Gatineau Parkway.
