If you come as a visitor to Canada’s Capital, you will almost certainly begin your visit downtown —probably at Parliament Hill. We have adopted the core area as the first and most immediate focus of planning within the urban area. Canada's Capital Core Area Sector Plan represents the lead policy document governing the planning and development of federal lands in the core area over the next twenty years (to 2025).
Imagine the heart of the Capital as a unified space for working, living and celebrating Canada, a place that communicates and creates spaces for Canadians to gather and celebrate their sense of country.
