This activity will provide information in the following areas of research.

1. Compile a digital geochronologic database for the northern Slave province in a GIS compatible format.
2. Provide U-Pb geochronological analysis (age dates) of key, selected archived samples to address knowledge gaps identified during the compilation activity and required for interpretive synthesis. Additional information will be gathered regarding the chronostratigraphy of supracrustal rocks and regional metallogenic correlations.
3. Provide a basis for defining crustal age domains in the SE Slave that can be used to develop kimberlite and metallogenic exploration models.
