Approved Prices for Products and Selected Services
FEE SCHEDULE A
For each product group, a list price is established for the most common
product type (price indicated in Canadian dollars) and does not include
applicable taxes. All prices are effective April1st, 2006
unless otherwise indicated. List prices for other product
types within each group shall be comparable in terms of:
- the current average cost of reproduction;
- the current average cost of sales and distribution; and, where applicable
- the current average cost of data base maintenance.

A subscription gives an on-line access to the data for a 3 to 4 year period,
upon payment of an access fee and an annual subscription fee.

- General Conditions :
Licence: All prices mentioned above apply to a perpetual
licence to use the data. The data remain the property of the Crown.
Regions: A 30% discount applies for the procurement of a same product for
a complete region or when a purchase completes a region. A region is defined
as the country, a province or territory.
Minimal Fee: The minimum fee for an order is $25.00. Applicable taxes will
be added.
Administrative fee: A service fee of $75.00 applies to orders received
by any other means than from the On-line Purchasing site.
Reimbursements or exchange: Any requests for reimbursement
or exchange must be made within two weeks following the reception of
the data. A reimbursement of 100% will be applied.
Discounts: If more than one discount apply, they
are calculated successively rather than by summation.

Aerial Photographs
Aerial Photographic Reproductions

List prices for other aerial photographic reproductions (other contact
sizes, enlargements, transparencies, diapositives, mosaics, rectification,
etc., both monochrome and colour) shall be based on comparable factors
as specified in Fee Schedule A. A handling charge of $7.00
for Canadian and $12.00 for USA/International orders shall be applicable
in the following cases:
- For each order where retrieval from the negative archives is required to produce the reproduction, and
- Where a library copy is supplied to the customer in the interest of expediency.
If aerial photographic negatives are loaned to a federal agency for
any purpose, a charge of $100.00 per roll shall apply. The purpose of
this charge is intended to recover the costs of retrieval from, and replacement
in, the archives; inspection of the negatives before issue and following
their return; and, associated administrative costs.

Toponymic Information
The Canadian Geographical Names Data Base (CGNDB) is the official toponymic
data base for Canada, and is maintained by NRCan to record the decisions
of the Geographical Names Board of Canada (GNBC). The
database contains some 500 000 toponyms with a number of attributes for
each record.
Data files are available on diskette, CD-ROM or via electronic transfer.
(Note: Effective June 15th 2006, toponymic information (standard files) will be available at no charge via the Internet).

Geodetic Survey Division: Products and Services
The Geodetic Survey Division distributes products that support the
Canadian Spatial Reference System (CSRS). Product line consists of Canadian
Active Control System GPS data, CSRS Network information, CSRS software/data
products and publications.
Fees for GSD products are related to the cost of handling, media and
delivery only.
All GSD Products are available from the Information Services Unit, see
below.
In addition, selected products are made available on-line at no charge
through the division Internet site: www.geod.nrcan.gc.ca.
A yearly subscription allows users unlimited access to CACS data, CSRS
Network data, and utility software/data products.
