Volunteer Program/Information Kit

Description

The Earth Sciences Sector Volunteer Program provides hands-on experience through assignments with earth scientists, technologists and other professionals. Participants become involved by assisting in the lab, the fields or the library.

The Volunteers Program enables the ESS to formally accept and utilize voluntary help and services to further its programs while at the same time increasing public awareness of its activities. Offices of the ESS are spread across the country.

This exciting initiative enables ESS to accept and utilize volunteer help and services while increasing public awareness of its activities.


Objectives


Eligibility

The Volunteer Program is open to individuals and public and private groups, including:

All volunteers must be 18 years of age or older.


How to apply

  1. Please complete the online Volunteer Application Form. In order to assist managers to easily identify your work-related experiences, please add your comments/cv to the "Information" field on the Volunteer Application form.
  2. Please complete the Personnel Screening, Consent and Authorization Form [PDF, 88.6 kb, viewer]. This form MUST be submitted along with your application to:
