Ontario Fuel Cell Program will fuel new
products

The
Government of Ontario has announced the
new Ontario Fuel Cell Innovation
Program to help make Ontario a
leader in the global innovation economy.
This Program will build strong regional
clusters and engage business expertise
and venture capital to help move technology
from research stages to industrial, residential
and commercial uses.
Coupled with The Centre of Excellence for Energy announced
recently and Ontario's Research Commercialization Strategy,
Ontario's alternative energy sector will produce successful
products that can be used and sold around the world.

over four years, to create a new Centre of Excellence
for Energy.

McGuinty
Government Announces $53.2 Million for
Innovation Research

The McGuinty government is providing $53.2 million for
48 innovative projects located in 17 Universities and research
institutions across Ontario, Economic Development and Trade
Minister Joseph Cordiano announced today.
This funding is part of the Ontario government's $1.8 billion
commitment over four years to support research and commercialization.
It will ensure Ontario's continued prosperity and position
the province as a leading innovation economy. This announcement
delivers on Ontario's $300 million commitment to research
infrastructure made by Premier McGuinty in October of this
year.
