The CTI just granted its first three contracts in regard with the Northern Mapping project (Carto Nord). The three Canadian geomatics companies were each given the mandate to produce 21 NTS files at the scale of 1:50 000. These are the first files to be produced using a combination of Aerial photograph, Landsat-7 images and ERS images to complete northern sectors still not mapped. This method will allow mapping of territories that were, until now, very complex to map. The three companies are Tecsult Inc., Group Info Consult and Group Trifide Inc.
