ENERGY STAR® for New Homes

ENERGY STAR for New Homes is a pilot project in Ontario, managed for Natural Resources Canada by EnerQuality Corporation. New homes that receive the ENERGY STAR label will be 40 percent more energy efficient than those built to minimum Ontario building code standards.

If you are interested in becoming an ENERGY STAR qualified builder, or if you are a home buyer wanting to purchase an ENERGY STAR labelled home, contact EnerQuality Corporation for more information.

If you are a registered business that supplies materials or services for ENERGY STAR qualified new homes, you can use the ENERGY STAR name or symbol in your promotion material, contact EnerQuality Corporation for more information. If you have already received approval to access the ENERGY STAR Trade Symbols, visit the ENERGY STAR Trade Ally Resource Centre to download the symbols and guidelines for their use.

To order publications on energy efficiency for new houses, call 1-800-387-2000.
