Manufacturers – Transformers
Rex Power Magnetics
Rex Power Magnetics designs and manufactures a complete line of CSA approved and UL listed dry-type transformers for the North American market. Rex Power Magnetics has developed a line of energy efficient transformers, utilizing windings that operate at lower temperatures and cores assembled from higher grades of silicon grain oriented core steel with miter cut core arrangements that result in dramatically reduced transformer losses. Rex energy efficient transformers meet or exceed guidelines of CSA C802 and NEMA TP1 standards and are identified with the ENERGY STAR symbol.
The Delta Group
For the past 20 years, the Delta Group has been developing transformers for the industrial, commercial and institutional sectors. The transformers meet Canadian Standards Association, Underwriters Laboratories and ENERGY STAR specifications. Delta's energy-efficient products are designed, manufactured and tested to operate in various environments, sustaining optimum performance in environments where conditions include dust, fumes and humidity.
Marcus Transformer
This company's distribution transformer design significantly reduces power consumption for commercial, institutional and industrial users. Marcus is labelling and promoting its ENERGY STAR-qualified distribution transformers.
Powersmiths International Corporation
Powersmiths International Corp. is a Canadian company based in Brampton, Ontario that designs and manufactures energy-efficient power quality products, including transformers. As a large percentage of Powersmiths' sales are in the US, the company became an ENERGY STAR Partner, being one of the first to sign up for the C&I Transformer program when it began several years ago. In addition, Powersmiths was a finalist at Natural Resources Canada's Office Energy Efficiency Awards in 2000. In August 2003, Powersmiths released the highest efficiency low voltage transformer available commercially - with 25% less losses than the ENERGY STAR specifications.
