The red coats and sleek horses of the RCMP are internationally recognized as a Canadian symbol of pride and justice. Originally formed in 1873 to preserve peace on the Canadian frontier, today they are Canada's federal police force.

The Musical Ride, a world-renowned military pageant performed with 32 horses and riders, was first produced publicly in Regina in 1887.

The RCMP invites visitors to tour the stables and the Musical Ride Centre year-round. There is a possibility during a visit of seeing the majestic horses and riders practice (when they are not away on tour) as well as the farrier station, the tack room and the stately carriages used in royal escorts of Her Majesty the Queen.

Canadian Sunset Ceremony: evening performances will showcase special musical guests, and, of course, the Musical Ride, featuring a special sunset finale of O Canada. The shows will also feature a police dog demonstration, a Mounted Arms display, the introduction of an RCMP mare and her foal, and the RCMP strolling Dixieland band, "The North West Mounted."

Note: No bleacher seating; therefore, chairs or blankets are recommended.
