For the past 36 years, people of all ages have enjoyed the Rideau Canal Skateway — on sled, on foot, and of course, on skates! In winter, this historic navigable waterway, becomes a magical 7.8-kilometre skateway of ice, in the very heart of Canada’s Capital. During Winterlude, the Rideau Canal Skateway is the site of the Winterlude Triathlon, the Canadian Tire JumpStart Activity Centre, the Bedzzz 26th Annual Bed Race, skating demonstrations, workshops and much more.
