The PUB is responsible for ensuring fairness in marketing of petroleum products throughout the province in accordance with the Petroleum Products Act.

The Board operates an office in Grand Falls - Windsor with technical and support staff that assists the Board with its regulatory mandate which includes, among other things:

• establishing prices
• monitoring prices
• enforcing the Petroleum Products Act
• meeting stakeholders and receiving consultation from them
• educating / informing stakeholders
