Miner

MinerMiners carry out various tasks in underground or open-pit mines.

The methods used to extract the ore require miners to operate drilling and hauling equipment, and to handle explosives and blasting.

Miners are also responsible for the safety of the workplace by reinforcing drifts, walls and other surfaces, and for transporting the ore through the drifts.


Academic requirements: High school education and mining training program.
