- Canada Customs Act
- Protect Canadians by stopping illegal activity and protecting our citizens from threats to their health, safety and security
- Wait times on entry into Canada
- To identify periods where Wait Times may lead to ministerial involvement and media attention
- To systematically report the average Wait Times at our borders and the percentage of individuals subject to waits beyond the goals
- Investigations Programs
- The CCRA operates three investigative programs to deal with suspected cases of tax or duty evasion, smuggling, and other tax and customs offences.
- Canada's tax and customs systems are based on self-assessment. The CCRA's enforcement activities help preserve public confidence in the fairness and integrity of those systems.
- Our investigative programs reflect the CCRA's mandate to use responsible enforcement to promote awareness of and compliance with the laws we administer.
