The Transition House Association was established in 1980 to provide a place of safety for women and children who are victims of abuse and to work towards the elimination of family violence. The Association believes that it is a basic human right to be free of abuse and fear of abuse in relationships.
Our membership includes individuals and groups who accept the Statement of Beliefs of the Association. Our volunteer Board of Directors represents a broad range of interest and views. The services provided by the Association are funded by the Provincial Government, Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation, the United Way of P.E.I., and by contributions and donations from individuals, community groups and local business.
