Wear the Gear |
|
|
Whether you play hockey,
soccer or baseball - the list goes on and on - you have
to wear the gear that's right for your sport. And you have to
wear it properly.
|
|
The best athletes in
the world wear the gear. That's because even they can fall or
crash and hurt themselves. Just like you. So protect yourself. Wear
the gear. It's that simple.
|
Wear the gear that's right for your activity. |
Would you wear a hockey
mask to play baseball? No way! Each sport is different, so make sure
you wear the gear that's right for your activity.
|
Wear all the gear.. |
Don't wear the
pads and then skip the helmet. When you gear up, gear up from top
to bottom with all of the gear recommended for that activity. Do it
right!
|
Wear gear that fits. |
Gear that's too
big could fall off. And gear that' too small does not protect
you. When you're buying gear, ask a sports expert to help you.
Take your time choosing and make sure you try on the stuff before
buying it.
|
If it's broken, don't wear it. Replace it. |
Your gear takes a beating
when you play (better it than you!), so check it regularly for damage.
Even a tiny crack or rip can be dangerous. If your gear does show
signs of damage, tell your parents, teacher or coach right away, so
they can get you another set that's in good condition.
