The Ministère des Transports du Québec offers various financial assistance programs to municipalities, school boards, transit commissions and transit corporations. It also offers substantial financial assistance, in collaboration with Société de l'assurance automobile du Québec and Fonds québécois de la recherche sur la nature et les technologies, to encourage research and development in the transportation field.

The Department also applies financial assistance measures, particularly in the air and maritime sectors, to maintain links conducive to exchanges between economically complementary regions separated by watercourses, and between less easily accessible regions and Québec's major centre. In addition, it will invest $18 million over five years to provide financial support to the community in order to complete La Route verte by 2005.

These financial assistance programs and measures are consistent with the Department's objectives and policies. They have been designed to meet the public's needs and promote Québec's socioeconomic development, integration of persons with disabilities, etc.

Here is a list of the special financial assistance measures and programs of the Ministère des Transports du Québec. This information is grouped in seven categories:
