Kamouraska

The Kamouraska Business Contact economic development coordination event was held Friday, April 22, 2005, at Collège Sainte-Anne-de-la-Pocatière in La Pocatière, Quebec. Organized by the Société d’aide au développement des collectivités (SADC) du Kamouraska —the Community Futures Development Corporation (CFDC) serving the Kamouraska region— and Canada Economic Development's Bas Saint-Laurent Business Office, this Business Contact event drew the participation of more than 120 local entrepreneurs.

Through conferences, workshops and meetings with Government of Canada representatives, participants were able to obtain strategic information on business startup, growth, export, innovation and productivity, as well as on a variety of specific themes tailored to the realities of the Kamouraska region, such as market globalization and foreign competition, and innovation in the areas of technological transfer, agri-food, community development and wood products.
