FREDERICTON (CNB) - The following St. John River advisory is issued by River Watch 2003 and the N.B. Emergency Measures Organization on Friday, Oct. 31, 2003:

In Fredericton, the water level is at 5.61 metres and is expected to remain stable today before dropping to around 5.3 metres on Saturday and 4.5 metres on Sunday.

In Maugerville, the water level is at 4.8 metres and is expected to remain stable through Saturday and drop to 4.2 metres on Sunday.

In the Jemseg and Grand Lake area, the water level is at 3.07 metres and is expected to increase to 3.4 metres on Saturday and remain stable at 3.4 metres on Sunday.

People living or working near the lower St. John River should take necessary precautions and be aware of elevated water levels.
