Search and Rescue Mission Co-ordinator Course (SMC)  
 
The three-week SMC is an integral part of the SMC training program. It is primarily designed for Rescue Co-ordination Centre or Maritime Rescue Sub-Centre personnel who are involved in planning, co-ordinating and controlling the response to maritime and aeronautical Search and Rescue incidents. The aim of the course is to prepare Canadian Forces and Canadian Coast Guard personnel employed at Rescue Co-ordination Centre and Maritime Rescue Sub-Centres to perform the duties of Aeronautical and Maritime SAR Mission Co-ordinators.
