Bureau des infractions et amendes
The Bureau des infractions et amendes  , a new government agency under the authority of the Ministère de la Justice du Québec, processes penal offences issued by various departments and bodies such as the Sûreté du Québec and the Société de l'assurance automobile du Québec.
The BIA also institutes penal proceedings when necessary and collects fines imposed following violations of Québec laws. The agency is also responsible for collecting fines imposed by court judgments in penal and criminal matters.
Please note that the Bureau des infractions et amendes offers an on-line payment service, allowing citizens who have received a statement of offence to make payments by Internet.
