Register of personal and movable real rights

The Register of personal and movable real rights is a public electronic register which was created in 1994 and which lists personal and real rights on movable property. Once recorded in the RPMRR, a right is considered to be public and available to all.

Except in certain cases, when they invole business-related property, movable real rights must be registered. There are nearly 110 different natures of rights which can be registered: movable hypothecs, reservations of ownership, rights associated with long-term leases, marriage contract notices and divorce judgments.
