Minimum Qualifications:

Candidates must fully demonstrate in their application that they meet all of the minimum qualifications.

Education:

  • Completion of secondary school

Experience:

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in the provision of aviation weather services, flight information services or aeronautical information services.

Depending on the job, you may be required to possess one or more of the following experience:

  • Provision of aviation weather services
  • Provision of flight information services
  • Provision of aeronautical information services
  • Drafting of regulations or standards
  • Writing reports or correspondence

Citizenship:

Preference will be given to Canadian citizens. Functions:

Branch specialists develop regulations and standards to ensure the safe provision of aviation weather services, flight information services and aeronautical information services. They also conduct audits and inspections of service providers to ensure that they are complying with their regulatory requirements.

About the Organization:

Air Navigation and Airspace Safety Inspectors at Transport Canada work within the Civil Aviation Directorate of the Safety and Security Group. The Civil Aviation headquarters directorate determines program contents, policy and standards, while the regions deliver the program. The Air Navigation Services and Airspace Branch is responsible for overseeing the provision of air navigation services in Canada, from large service providers such as NAV CANADA and SERCo, to small service providers providing local services.
