Farming Operations - Starting June 30, 2006, Ontario’s Occupational Health and Safety Act will apply, with some limitations and conditions, to all farming operations that have paid workers under the Act.

The Ontario Ministry of Labour (MOL) and the Ontario Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs (OMAFRA) will be hosting public information sessions for employers and employees regarding the Occupational Health and Safety Act and farming operations. Click here for locations and dates.

The occupational Health & Safety Act will apply to Ontario agricultural operations that employ labour as of June 30, 2006. If you have questions or concerns about application of the ACT, please email them to info@farmsafety.ca. We are interested in your comments or questions.
