Sexually Transmitted Infections

Sex is a normal and healthy part of life. But today, many people are concerned about sexually transmitted infections (STIs). These infections can be spread in several ways. The most common way is through vaginal or anal sexual intercourse. A person can also get an infection from oral sex or simply through skin-to-skin contact.

Some people with an STI have few or no symptoms at all; others have very obvious symptoms. Treatment for some STIs is very simple while others do not have a cure. You can get the same STI more than once and you can have more than one STI at a time. These infections can seriously affect your health and some, like HIV, can kill you.

If you are having sex, or thinking about having sex, you need to know how to reduce your risk of getting an STI.

This site will help you by providing more information and answering common questions about STIs and safer sex.
