System Safety

System Safety is dedicated to the ongoing development of safety communications, safety evaluations and practices for monitoring the National Civil Air Transportation System (NCATS).

To be a focal point for safety intelligence in Civil Aviation that enhances system safety.

Our Mission

To provide Transport Canada Civil Aviation and the Canadian aviation community with timely, relevant and reliable safety intelligence and guidance to manage risks.

Our Team

As safety advisors:

  • we proactively identify and analyze potential safety issues and trends;
  • we evaluate safety data, issues and trends to provide mitigation and prevention strategies;
  • we promote a pervasive safety culture by sharing our safety knowledge with and by transferring increased responsibility for safety to the aviation community; and
  • we use safety intelligence to develop timely and relevant education and promotion initiatives and activities.
