It is a privilege for me to be appointed the Minister of Government Services, the ministry responsible for many public services and government resources.

MGS plays a very important role in the delivery of government services to the people of Ontario and is responsible for the government's workforce, procurement and technology resources.

The ministry is focused on modernizing and improving front-line public services that people depend on, and creating a modern regulatory framework to protect consumers and facilitate economic growth.

MGS is responsible for building the best public service in the world in order to deliver on the government's commitment to being a responsive and innovative world leader in customer service and consumer protection.

Whether it is in Toronto, Ottawa, Thunder Bay or any of the other cities and communities in this great province, the work of MGS impacts the life of every Ontarian.

Key Services

• One of our key activities is to provide government information to individuals and businesses. You can access a wide range of information and services through our toll-free call centres, our 64 walk-in Government Information Centres or online through ServiceOntario.
• MGS is responsible for protecting consumers. We’re here to keep you informed about frauds and scams and to increase your knowledge of the marketplace. If you have a complaint about a business, we can mediate that complaint for you.
• We issue birth, death and marriage certificates, manage the 54 Land Registry Offices across Ontario and distribute Government of Ontario information through Publications Ontario.
