MINISTER EMERSON TO DELIVER KEYNOTE LUNCHEON ADDRESS
AT THE ASIA PACIFIC SUMMIT
The Honourable David L. Emerson, Minister of International Trade and Minister for the
Pacific Gateway and the Vancouver-Whistler Olympics, will give the keynote luncheon
address at the Asia Pacific Summit, hosted by the Asia Pacific Foundation, in
Vancouver on Friday, October 27, 2006.
Minister Emerson will also make an announcement on behalf of the Honourable Carol
Skelton, Minister of National Revenue and Minister of Western Economic
Diversification. The Government of Canada will invest in three key projects that will help
build new commercial links between Western Canadian businesses and opportunities in
Asia.
Minister Emerson will be available to answer questions from the media immediately
following his address.
